I actually enjoyed reading Gawker and it was one of my daily News reads (not the only one obviously). What else do you suggest that has a similar writing style/ blatantly pokes fun at the conservatives/ left or left-leaning/ is not all very serious?

Fox, but if you want accurate news, NPR.

I go to CBC for all of my news, but that might not be entirely relevant to you.

Go to Fox and poke fun at conservatives yourself

Have you tried Deadspin?

They don’t need me to poke fun at themselves.

Too (mostly american) sports focused.

But yeah want hondabro said. NPR is left-leaning, but seem to be fine with that.

NPR, not sure how I forgot about them, thanks!

NPR! I forgot, thanks!

Well, you could try a legitimate news source, like the Evening Journal, Collier’s, or MBS.
![]() 09/22/2016 at 21:48 |

NPR is actually one of the most unbiased news networks there is.

If by “left-leaning” you mean actual rational human beings.

I have my legitimate news sources (Mostly BBC and The New Yorker) I just need something I can browse/read quickly and is mildly entertaining.

Any actual news site does all of those things simply by reporting facts.

I come from a Fox family so relatively speaking. NPR is actually very soothing. Fox on the other hand, well...

Haha I meant relative to Fox but you’re not wrong

Yeah, but America is all wrong and weird, everyone is a “communist” and guns are everywhere, idk

Breitbart

New York Times, Washington Post, BBC, Deutsche Welle, NPR, France 24, Al Jazeera America
Lots of different angles on the same basic facts. Somewhere in the middle is close to the truth. Stay away from opinion pieces. They just confirm people’s biases.

NPR and BBC.

The Concourse is basically Regawk.
I suspect, based on the photos from Justin Westbrook’s reporting of the Charlotte riots, that something’s going to end up under Gizmodo - they were credited to Gizmodo Media Group.

BBC and New Yorker are my usual reads, Gawker was some lighter “fun” read. Will start on NPR.

BBC and the New Yorker are my serious news sources. Gawker was the lighter quick read, I need something to replace that, NPR sounds like the best bet.

Serious answer: Last Week Tonight with Jon Oliver. It’s not a website, but if you have HBO, there’s plenty of spot on content.

Jon and Bill Maher are the only reasons I have HBO.

Google News is actually a pretty good news aggregator if you’re looking for a quick read. You can customize the sources and categories, and the number of stories presented. And many times, going through Google avoids the pay wall. Except for WSJ.

I used to troll their YouTube videos. It was funny.

Their headlines are super click-baity, but their content is seriously good. I love Milo, too; he’s hilarious.

Try theconcours.deadspin.com (Ashley, HamNo went here) or theslot.jezebel.com.
The concourse has always been deadspin’s political/off topic/etc blog. The slot is jezebel’s politics coverage

Literally any other website. Try Cosmopolitan, it’s aimed at people with the same intelligence as Gawker readers.
